Battering is the single major cause of injury to women, more frequent than auto accidents, mugging and rapes combined. Nearly one-third of female homicide victims are killed by their husbands or boyfriends. Between three and four percent of elderly people are victims of some form of abuse by a relative. Thousands of victims live silently with domestic abuse, trapped by their fears and emotional or economic dependence.

Abuse occurs among people of all backgrounds and income. It affects people in every racial, ethnic and economic group.

THERE IS NO EXCUSE FOR DOMESTIC VIOLENCE!

Nothing said or done gives anyone the right to intentionally hurt another person, not emotionally or physically, especially one that they claim to love.

Our VISION is our HOPE that we will end family violence within our community together.
