SILVER LININGS has Changed Their Name!

 

Pasco, Washington (03/14/05) -  Advocates Against Family Violence (AAFV), previously known as Silver Linings, is excited about the agency's new name approved by the Washington Secretary of State on January 31, 2005.

 

AAFV is a not-for-profit agency that was established in August 2003 in Tri-Cities, Washington (then known as Silver Linings).  Silver Linings is introducing a new agency name with the same dedicated family violence services to the local community.

 

AAFV provides services to victims and survivors of family violence within Benton and Franklin Counties. Since AAFV opened their doors, they have provided over 8,700 hours of service to area family violence clients and have serviced 1,500 families within the local community.   AAFV is co-located in Kennewick and Pasco Department of Social and Health Offices with their main office located at 505 North 4th Avenue in Pasco, Washington.

 

AAFV offers free and confidential women’s support groups weekly in Kennewick and Pasco. Both support groups are open to women of all ages that are victims and/or survivors of family or intimate violence. Please contact the below agency representatives for times, dates, and locations. 

 

Other services AAFV offers at no cost and completely confidential are but not limited to: Family Violence Advocacy, Individual & Group Supportive Counseling, Legal and Medical advocacy, Assistance with Safety Planning, 911 Cellular Phone Program, Address Confidentiality Program, Victim Compensation Program,  Protection Order Assistance, Emergency Clothes Voucher Program, Community & Education Awareness (CAP Program, Volunteer Advocacy, Teen Dating Program).
