Domestic Violence is a people problem,
not a GENDER issue!

Battered men in the United States are considered the "Silent Victims."  25,473 Washington men a year report a domestic violence issue with an intimate partner (November 1998: http://batteredmen.com/gvdvdata.htm) ; however still most cases are unreported by battered men.  Traditional labels continue to be a factor in men reporting abuse by their female intimate partner or battered men in the same-sex relationships.
